It’s the most widely consulted ranking for international students and once again Macquarie University has been classed as one of the region’s leading universities in the 2015 Academic Ranking of World Universities.
Macquarie’s pioneering research discoveries and respected academic programs have once again seen the University recognised as within the ten best universities in Australia.
It joins 47 other leading universities in the Asia-Pacific that appear within the top 300 in the world.
Six indicators are used to calculate the ranking (also referred to as the Shanghai Jiao Tong ranking), including the number of alumni, the number of Highly Cited Researchers and the number of published articles.
More than 1200 universities worldwide are assessed by ARWU every year and the best 500 universities are published.
